Tae Hauk

Raised in Kelowna, BC, Tae Hauk leads a new generation of Canadian hip-hop artists of Korean descent. Known for his lyrical prowess, Hauk excels as a rapper and a singer, with much of his discography being self-produced. Despite coming from the modest town of Kelowna, where a live hip-hop scene is nearly non-existent, Hauk used his innate marketing abilities to organize, promote, and headline his own rap concerts, selling out on both occasions. With no marketing budget, Hauk relied on his social media following as well as local notoriety to generate a modest following within a local community. Then in August of 2023, Hauk grew to international fame after a snippet of his single THE PROBLEM went viral on Tiktok. With lyrics such as - “the problem is we got fentanyl which is killing all of our children / the problem is we got neighbours taking rights away from their women” - the Canadian’s relevant commentary on issues concerning inflation, opioids, and much more attracted millions to his social media’s pages. At only nineteen years old, Tae Hauk’s career has just begun.
